While you're on the frontlines, we remain committed to providing a stable and secure pension so you can have retirement security now and into the future.

This security is rooted in our funding strategy, as we remain focused on ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Plan. The one-year rate of return as of December 31, 2020 was 10.5%, bringing the total value of the Fund to approximately $8.8 billion.

Strategic Plan

SHEPP's 2017-2021 Strategic Plan sets the priorities of the organisation and helps to focus our energy so we are working together toward common goals. Three important strategic goals have been identified as priorities for the Plan over the next five years:

  1. Enhance the long-term viability of the Plan by executing innovative strategies that protect the interests of the Plan and its members.
  2. Strengthen the relationship with the Partner Committees by enhancing communications, striving to educate and inform while encouraging effectiveness that benefits all Plan members.
  3. Maintain and enhance SHEPP's position as an industry leader by driving a culture of excellence and resilience.
